Voter Portal

VoterPortal is a Community-based app for all. It focuses on helping the communities to make sure all the eligible residents can register to vote. It even provides help with locating the nearest BLO of the constituency and educates users about the polling process while providing education regarding the importance of voting

Problem Statement

Almost 45-50% population either don’t have the awareness of importance of voting , among those many wants to contribute to bring a change but they lack the knowledge of polling process, majorly among those many don’t even have the voter id.

Goal

We want to help communities in such a way that they can make sure all eligible residents of their constituency can register to vote.

My Role

UX designer leading the app and responsive website design from conception to delivery.

Responsibilities

Conducting interviews, paper and digital wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, conducting usability studies, accounting for accessibility, iterating on designs, and responsive design.

User Research - Summary

I conducted interviews and created personas, user stories, empathy maps, and user journey maps to understand the users I am designing for and their needs. Two primary user groups were identified, working professionals, individuals who wanted to create awareness among others, and Remote area people / Household people who wanted to bring a change they seek better facilities basic needs for their people but they lack the process knowledge or they don’t have a voter id to cast their vote.

Not exactly a competitor, this is a government based APP and Website for new voter to register and previously registered voter  to make any changes in their details, though it provided directions on gaps and opportunities to address with the VoterPortal App

Low Fidelity Prototype

I Connected all the screens to create a flow to make sure eligible residents can register to vote. This low-fidelity prototype was intended for the first round of usability study. The study provided feedback for the flow which was later used as insights and later implemented into the design based on priority.

Hungriez

HUNGRIEZ” is a website designed for finding and viewing cooking tutorials. Users of all age groups can benefit from the website. This website aims to help the user in cooking their favorite delicacy through tutorials.

Problem Statement

Most Online cooking tutorial websites are cluttered and make it difficult for users with a lot of inefficient options, confusing for users to reach their destination on the website.

Goal

Design a website “HUNGRIEZ”, that is user friendly, by providing simple easy navigation and search with efficient results for their search.

Low Fidelity Prototype

I connected all the screens involved in the user flow, from searching for a recipe to finding a desired one based on ratings as well as completing the user flow with the option of saving the recipe for later view.
I got feedback and implemented it accordingly. Feedback included users needed clean and clear search results with some rating features and total views to make a decision.

Usability Study

I conducted one round of usability studies, In which the findings were as follows

  • At the homepage user needed a way to quickly search their desired recipe

  • In search result user wanted to check for the best suited tutorial for them without opening every video.

Bakery App

BakeryApp is an app designed for all age group, so that they can easily place an order and track their delivery.

Problem Statement

Students/Working professional finds it difficult to track their order.

Goal

To design an App “BakeryApp” that will allow users to easily track their delivery.

My Role

UX designer designing “BakeryApp” from inception to delivery.

Responsibilities

Conducting interviews, Making paper and digital wireframes, Lo-fi and Hi-fi prototyping, Conducting usability studies, checking for accessibility and making revisions to designs based on feedback.

User Research - Summary

I conducted Interviews and created persona, user stories, empathy map, user journey map to understand for the users I am designing for and their needs. Two primary user group were identified, students who need lunch during their college time and working professionals who need to enjoy hassle free food with their family .

Initial Research in Student user group revealed that they want in time delivery with some offers and discount to follow in their next order, while the working professional wanted image heavy menu with some method to track their food, both the group needed assertive technology (reader, language translator)

The low-fidelity prototype connected the primary user flow for placing an order and tracking the delivery, hence to be used in usability study with users.

Usability Study

I conducted two rounds of usability studies, round 1st helped in creating wireframes to initial mockups, round 2nd used high fidelity prototype to refine the mockups as per users pain point.
